Nick Mullen Fort Worth Concert reviews
Chicago/Doobs
Nick Mullen opened the show, did 9 songs on point as usual, sounded great. A few different members performed well. Chicago came out, did 10 songs, sounded uneven. The horns were the saving grace. Robert Lam backed out of several vocals but ended with his old reliables. The keyboardist and lead singer on bass were off slightly. No body could sing those classics like Cetera. Both groups came back out, did 6 songs one of each others, and were magnificent. What an assemblage of musicians! We were blown away with 3 drummers. Great energy, great venue, hot as hell in Charlotte 90's. The crowd was great, parking usually sucks, and this was no exception. Venue was a bit cramped. Would definitely attend here again. Ya gotta go see these 2 classic groups together. Best bang for your buck!
